The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself to man. God the author has given man this perfect treasure of divine instruction and revelation. From cover to cover the Bible is God’s testimony of His redemptive plan through Jesus Christ. God’s intention is to lead us into relationship with Him and to guide us to live the abundant life.

At Second Baptist Church we believe that the on-going study of Scripture is vital to establishing and maintaining a healthy relationship with God, and to being on-mission for the Kingdom of God. Sunday School, Men’s and Women’s Studies and Disciple University classes provide the on-going Bible Study opportunities that help to establish, mature, and develop on-mission Christians.

Sunday School

At Second Baptist Church, Sunday School is for everyone! From the very youngest to the senior saint, we have classes for every age-group and stage of life. Our Sunday School classes provide a weekly small-group Bible study experience where people gather together for solid and practical Biblical instruction. Our Gifted teachers and leaders work diligently each week to provide a study environment where you can develop friendships, find encouragement, strength and support, and have a great Bible study experience. Disciple University

Looking for a study on a particular topic or Bible book? Do you want to develop as a Christian leader? Do you want to know what the Bible says about marriage, family or finances? Disciple University offers classes on these and many more topics throughout the year. Each D.U. Semester provides multiple study opportunities for individuals and couples. Disciple University Classes meet on Sundays at 5:15 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Click here to see our current study offerings.
