 Welcome to the Victory Sports Recreation Ministry of Second Baptist Church. Our goal is to glorify God by introducing our community to Jesus Christ using the vehicle of sports and fitness. "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
- 1 Corinthians 15:57 Adult Recreation at SBC includes a wide variety of opportunities to help unify body, soul and spirit in all stages of adult life. Activities include softball, volleyball, flag football, golf and aerobics. Through Upward we seek "to introduce children to Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve through sports." Designed for every child, we promote salvation, character and self-esteem in a Christ-centered family friendly environment. Victory Sports offers multiple Upward Sports including Basketball, Cheerleading, Soccer, Baseball, T-ball & Softball.
The Victory Sports Ministry operates the recreational facilities at the Family Life Center (FLC), Youth Activity Center (YAC) and Victory Fields. This includes the coordination and scheduling of all recreational and fellowship activities within the church. The FLC is a family fitness center complete with a full-size basketball court, outdoor sand volleyball court, fully functional aerobics room, separate weight (nautilus and free) and cardio rooms and a full kitchen facility. The FLC serves as the central facility for many of SBC's on-site activities and events.
