Conservatory of Music - Where Art Meets the Heart

Ephesians 5:19 reveals that the evidence of the Spirit-filled life is a "melody in your heart." Psalm 150 tells us to praise the Lord with trumpet sound, with harp and lyre, with stringed instruments and pipe. "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!"

The Conservatory of Music is founded on these Biblical principles and exists to provide quality musical education in a Christian environment for children and adults. It is our belief that our talents have been given by God and that it is our responsibility to develop them for God's honor and glory. The curriculum is designed to maximize each student's musical potential with the goal of preparing the student for future service in musical performance, ministry, and personal enjoyment.

The 2007-08 session of the Conservatory of Music marked the beginning of our eleventh year. Our enrollment has grown to over 200 students, with nearly 20 active faculty members. The Conservatory and its teachers are active members of the National Federation of Music Clubs. The Conservatory is a division of the Music Ministry of Second Baptist Church.
