The Senior Adult Ministry of Second Baptist Church is made up of vital, vibrant, and victorious Senior Saints. We exist first and foremost to glorify God and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to be an Ephesians 4 Ministry that places a premium on equipping the Saints, edifying the body of Christ, thus offering various opportunities for the Senior Saint to do the work of the ministry. Our desire is to disciple, prepare, and then provide the Senior Saint places of service so that they may know experientially what God has called them to do by obeying Him through ministering to others and reaching the lost with the Gospel of God's Grace Jesus Christ.
Our Senior Saints are not consumed with the rocking chair and retirement, but rather, they are compelled and compassionate about reaching others for the Lord Jesus Christ by going the SECOND MILE with an attitude of VICTORY. The SECOND MILE message is thus internalized as we grow together to exalt HOLY GOD and CHRIST JESUS THE KING, partnered with others so to equip the SENIOR SAINTS for the work of the ministry, thus enjoying through Biblical fellowship and thereby fulfilling the GREAT COMMISSION by evangelizing the unsaved. I truly love our Senior Saints at Second. They are a Rock Solid group of servants who are maturing to have a God Confidence and are excited about finishing strong with a desire to leave a Scorecard of Victory thus legacy to be examined by the Next Generation that is coming behind them. The Senior Adult Ministry at Second desires to serve you and help you serve others. We want to challenge and enable you as well to finish strong in the race of life by being found faithful, filled daily with the Holy Spirit, and thus living a supernatural and fruitful VICTORIOUS LIFE till our KING returns or one is called home to glory. Each Ministry at Second has activities to encourage and challenge you in your walk with Christ, and to go the Second Mile so you can really CONNECT with other Christ Centered believers.
There are also several ways to be involved with our Senior adult ministry. We are always looking for people to help serve and be a blessing to those who have and are leaving a legacy of godliness. |
