Conservatory

About Us

Welcome to Second Baptist Church’s Conservatory of Music – a place where children (starting at age six and reading) and adults can learn and attain musical skills through private instruction. This Conservatory is a ministry of our church and provides the finest instruction possible in the areas of instrumental and vocal music. We seek to not only develop our students musically, but also spiritually as we offer musical instruction in a Christian environment – a place where all music is made for the glory of God alone.

Individual, private instruction for beginners, as well as experienced students, is available in voice, piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, violin, viola, cello, percussion, and guitar. The Conservatory faculty is made up of some of the finest Christian musicians in the area. They commit themselves wholeheartedly to their students, making sure that they are growing musically and spiritually. To meet our teachers, click here.

The Conservatory is in its fourteenth year as the 2011-2012 season begins. Our enrollment has grown to over 150 students, with over 20 active faculty members. The Conservatory and its teachers are active members of the National Federation of Music Clubs.
